The four year old program is designed for children expected to attend kindergarten the following year. Socialization skills are further developed through building friendships and engaging in cooperative play. Literacy and math concepts are developed through hands on learning activities in an environment rich in print and numbers. Each week will feature a new theme which will involve stories, music, and art. A variety of manipulatives are provided to further develop fine motor skills and creativity. Gross motor skills are developed in the gym arena, playground, and through music and movement. Children will learn through small learning stations that are both teacher directed and independent learning areas. Teachers help children gain attention and listening skills as they learn to follow directions. The goal of the program is to provide children with a developmentally appropriate learning experience that is engaging and fun which helps develop each child’s confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
